I wanted to let you know about a couple of changes we plan at this year's British Car Show at the Virginia Scottish Games (August 30 and 31) in the Plains.  We are hoping to get some  more cars out there this year, and these may interest some of you club members.

1.  New (additional) award   First, in addition  to the customary "Best in Show" trophy for the best British car (awarded separately each day), this year we intend to award a "Best Ambassador" prize to the exhibitor who does the most to interest the viewing public in his or her car (and the British car collecting hobby/illness, generally)  Last year, we had one fellow in a Jag XJS who allowed all the kids to sit behind the wheel of his car for a photo opp (I followed suit once I saw how fascinated some of the kids were) and it really made quite…

Friends: after five years I find age and general creakiness is slowly making it less easy to enter and exit my ‘03 quartz/charcoal Vanden Plas. The car’s a head-turner and award winner. It replaced an X350 VDP that was destroyed bt a tree and the 350/350 line, which sits higher, is far easier for me so I’m in search of a replacement. This vehicle was a garage-kept most of its life, or under cover. Presuming one of my two attempts at making an entry with photos on the classified page worked, please look there for more detail.
